As the caravan pulled up to the town, Hotaru took a surveying glance of the area. "So this is Saul. Leo was right, this is a nice town." Grabbing her pack out of the wagon, Hotaru thanked the caravan leader and began walking towards town, inspecting her remaining gear. "Still, the journey here has left me a little tapped out. Who knew that the spirits in this forest would be that hostile." Pulling out her only remaining dagger, Hotaru looked over the now dull blade. "Guess its time for some new weapons. I'm gonna need some fabric for a new costume too. But first, I'm going to need to earn some cash." Spotting a small inn, Hotaru uses the last of her money to buy a small room, grateful to sleep in a bed and shower that didn't involve a riverbed for the first time in days.

Skye nodded curtly, but she was careful to clean the campsite first and make sure the fire was completely out, she then knelt in the clearing and bent her head, then whispered a prayer of thanks to the forest for sheltering them during the night, and the days to come. She then stood, brushed off her knees and smiled at Morrigan. "Alright, lets go, and try not to act so freaked, It really does alert spirits to you, fear is a powerful magnet." she told her as she shouldered her pack and began to lead them through the woods, seeming to always know which way she was going, in fact the forest seemed almost receptive to her, her prayers and the offerings of seeds from different locations she had found and had planted at the base of the clearing probably helped somewhat. After a while of walking she glanced over at Morrigan. "You know... I could take a look at that satcom for you, I'm pretty good at tinkering, next time we stop, wanna let me give it a crack?" she questioned with a smile.

"A gypsy and an engineer? What an odd combination." Morrigan smiled. "You know, you've thoroughly impressed me, Miss Skye. I have to wonder why you haven't settled dow-" She glanced down, and noticed faded wheel tracks. "I suppose the tales about the Vanguard are really true." She grinned, sheathing her bayonet. "Alright, let's get going."

She grinned over at the woman. "You forgot actor, dancer, singer, knife, and weapons specialist..." she responded with a laugh. "I Like dabbling." she said with a modest shrug. She also noticed the tracks and smiled. "Thats a gypsy caravan." she said glancing over at Morrigan. "we're only a day away." she added mater of factly as she walked, enjoying the pleasant day.

She grimaced. "I don't know what I am. I...fly." She trotted along behind Skye, avoiding roots. She glimpsed something that look like a small child out of the corner of her eye and spun around, but it was gone. "I've never cut down a tree in my life!" She stated aloud, continuing to walk and quickening her pace.

She giggled lightly, "Really Morrigan, you have to calm down, this panic will not help us get through any easier, and I'd REALLY prefer not having to fight all the way to sual" she told the women, she had noticed the glimpse of the kender, and dug through her pouch her hand closing around a small object just in case they came closer then the tree shade.

"What you have in your hand." She quirked a smile.

She shook her head lightly and moved the pouch up a little but did not withdraw her hand from it. "I just keep... treasures, pieces of memories in here." she responded with a shrug and glanced at the forest before she stepped up the pace a little bit.

She nodded and continued walking. The silence pressed and she began considering an plan to persuade Carter, but shook her head. She didn't like planning. She instead turned back to Skye. "Do you...dislike pirates?"

She glanced at the woman and thought about the question for a long moment. "Pirates... Killed my acting troupe, I have no love for pirates." she responded carefully.

Miz didn't respond. She continued her task of avoiding tree roots. She worried about her friend, Lin, who had left 5 years ago. Now she wondered if she was still alive.
"There will always be murderous people in the world, Skye." She spoke quietly. "It just so happens that free traders incorporate a hefty majority of all criminals. I think Orlandia should do a better job of incorporating the gray, instead of just leaving it black and white." She frowned. She wanted to believe that free trade was a good thing. She wanted to believe that Lin was still the same good person she had been.

She sighed lightly. "I'm sure that there can be good privateers out there, but If i ever find one of the people who killed my family... well lets just say I wont be so forgiving." she said softly clenching her hands, feeling the smooth metal of the object in her hand cut into her hand a little but she didn't care.

She grinned. "I'll be right there behind you to help you clean up the blood." The sun flashed through a tiny break in the canopy, the day was already half over. Her stomach clenched in anticipation. Soon they'd get there. Hopefully, Carter wouldn't drop her with a bullet on the spot.
