What a lucky wayward traveler you are! A message to you, from the exalted Pirate Queen herself! It is such a rare miracle, you can hardly contain your excitement.
Slowly, you open the letter. It reads as follows:
Do you crave adventure?
I am gathering followers to join my cause of overturning those who have a chokehold on the skies of Orlandia. But perhaps you are wondering why you should join me. Rest assured, I shall explain.
Duke Stratosphere has become a decrepit old fool-- a spineless puppet being yanked about by his thinly-threaded strings. The so-called "Air Knights" are merely the pawns of an overzealous, militaristic, power-hungry leader who aims to throttle all of the vitality from those who dream to traverse the skies.
The skies were meant to be free. The skies were meant to be ours. So much adventure awaits us! How could anyone grow disenchanted with such a glorious life?
Come, join me, and together we shall rule the skies of Orlandia, relishing our freedom and seeking out glory and the thrill of adventure around every corner.
The only condition I require upon joining is a fierce loyalty to the cause and to me. Of course, a certain level of badassery is beneficial, but depending on what skills you bring to the table, we might be able to work around any discrepancies.
Respond to this message at your convenience, should you decide to work with me. I will see to it that it is worth your while.

.... There is no Duke Stratosphere, this message is clearly spam and how did you get my address? It doesn't even exist.... The skies should be free but check your sources, I think they my be cheating you.

There is too a duke Stratosphere, he's just dying and wanting to change the way the pirates are run, which clearly, the EXALTED Pirate Queen (lol) does not want to happen.

Well the site says sky knights not air, not a big deal. I'm not sure if Duke Stratosphere is dead or retired, but he passed the leadership to some other relative (probably son) who is currently ill, but probably still in his say 30's. The ill leader is also turning a new leaf to be more honorable or something.... being about to die makes you care about that I guess.... just update your info and you're good though.

So the question would be, where is Duke Stratosphere, if he's even still alive, and are you going to be taking the Crown of Orlandia from his random relative?

I personally have no desire to know where Duke Stratosphere is. If he is dead, all the better. I have no use for him. What I do want is to let people know that his way of thinking was-- or rather, is-- wrong.
And to take the Crown of "Orlandia"...? That would be a rather drastic action, would it not? One would have to be mad to attempt such a feat. Surely I have proven myself to be a capable, intelligent person, and I certainly know better than to attempt something that I know is beyond my reach.

Suit yourself though I'm really interested in more info about the state of the pirate faction, and to be able to tell weather I want to shank the current head or just leave him alone while I shank others.

I thought the "Crown of Orlandia" was the name of a ship that's already been stolen, by Duke Stratosphere von Sunderland... though that was twelve years ago. >.> Darn air pirates. And according to my sources, Alex von Sunderland's the new leader, so that makes Stratosphere a retired old has-been who wants peace in his sickly old age.
...Then again, I could be wrong. I'm a Smiley Army engineer, not a pirate. *cough* >.>

Strat is missing, Alex is sick, the pirates did steal it making it a prime target for counter stealing, or at least burning to make a point I guess.... Fire balls solve everything. The larger the radius of an explosion, the number of social situation's it's incapable of solving approaches zero.

Ah see, I thought Strat was sick. S'what I get for falling behind in the local gossip! Either way. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out... and no pirates, air, sky, or otherwise, better try to swipe my inventions!

Strat is sick, he's wanting to have peace, while his heir is not worth anything, hence the conflict in the faction, or at least thats what i gathered from reading the DESCRIPTION on the AFO website...

Yeah, that's how I read it too. Either that, or Alex (his heir) is the new leader, and Strat's trying to make peace now that he's not the leader and sick. I dunno. The stuff just got updated like two days ago.
