Arriving via airship from Television City, the well-dressed man checked his pocketwatch. Just on time. Grabbing his large rolling suitcase and another, larger cubic object; covered by a thick cloth, he'd disembark, greeting those who were gathered there.
He had come in search of this Smiley Army, specifically the genetically enchanced Wheldon himself, Dr. Rosen, and the recently converted Wes Westin. Genetics do not make the superior host! It is one's training and background in the art of the warm-up, keeping the audience involved as the show went on, as well as during the frequent commercial breaks. Not only that, but knowing when to place those breaks and constantly raise the level of excitement and suspence to the next level.
The way to hosting greatness was by training by and study of the experts. Chuck Barris, Dick Clark, Bill Cullen, John Daily, Tom Kennedy, Allen Ludden, Wink Martindale, Jack Narz, Alex Trebek, J. Keith Van Straaten, Chuck Woolery, and of course Jim Peck, Peter Tomarken, and Todd Newton; whose arts he had fully mastered.
He'd show them that the classic way was best, one way or the other!
