"I know change was inevitable... change can't be stopped and for a long time my job was to sit in the shadows stepping out just long enough to change something that only caused misery and pain. I've been more active sense joining Teres Calamitis but..... I never expected things to change so much in a 24 hour period. If all I can do is wait for Skye to decide to let me in a little then what am I going to do in the mean time?"

"That my friend," Hotaru says, "Is something I can't answer. Its something you'll have to figure out yourself." Feeling a slight brush against her thigh, Hotaru looks down to find the black fox beside her once again. "If your going to keep being around me, I'm just gonna end up naming you. Then you'll never be rid of me." Absentmindly scratching behind the fox's ears, Hotaru looks back up at Leo.

Most of the spirits had left by now, leaving mostly animal spirits there. "Well, it's nice to know that at least we're friends. Come to think of it, we're not very close to Saul. Why are you out this far without an escort?"

"well you see...I'm broke. The trip here ended up being hard on my gear, including my instruments and my daggers. So, to earn some money, I'm making potions. I might not look like it, but I'm pretty accomplished when it comes to herbalism. Anyways, i came into the forest to pick some plants, planning to just stay at the edge. Before I had realized it, I had gone alot farther than i had planned, and i wasn't exactly able to find my way back. Thats when I found this little guy here. His legs pretty torn up under that bandage on his back leg. since i wasn't sure which way to turn, i decided to camp here until it got lighter and i could find my way."

"With a canapé this thick, waiting for day won't help you much. Well, I have no trouble navigating this perfect maze of a forest so I can guide you back to Saul when your ready. Maybe I should have suggested an easier place to visit? Oh well, what's done is done. Don't hesitate to call on my help while your here though."

She frowned lightly. "A lot of reasons." she responded quietly watching the woods around her. "Well, I won't pry, we all have our own reasons, whether good or bad. I will have to say i've made some dumb mistakes before. That's how we learn I guess," Asselyna said wistfully. As she used her staff to walk aside them, she expertly dodged all tree roots and rocks in her path. "Including that time that I took that drink from you, believing it was just apple cider," she said exasperated.

"thanks. if you don't mind, would you be able to guide me to the forest edge now? If I get near the riverbed, i'll be able to work on my potions.

Skye rolled her eyes at Asselyna, "It WAS apple cider, you should know by now I don't drink, I have no idea why you reacted the way you did." she responded watching the forest carefully, she could feel that they were getting close, they were almost to Sual, then she could relax for a little bit, maybe dance with some gypsies, but then figure out what she was supposed to do now.

Leo stood up and offered a hand to Hotaru "Very well then. I assure your safe passage."

She smiled and kept silent. Apparently Skye and the new woman were friends. Thumbing the small white chess piece, she glanced at the woman and realized that the woman looked not at the roots, but straight-ahead, unblinking. Blind? Morrigan was in awe, how the woman maneuvered her cane over the uneven path. She was about to comment, but a noise arose in the air. She tensed, her bayonet still in her hand. Maybe the kenders were back? Then she realized the sound, that floated gently in like a cool breeze...sounded ,much like mandolins and drums. Her eyes widened. Music, followed by cheering and a mass of voices. On the last bend of the curve, the trees curved up and outwards, almost into a gate. Scarves and golden charms decorated the entrance in such grandeur that it felt like walking through a forest palace. At that moment, the trees were thinned and the biggest clearing she had ever seen was before them. "I might be wrong, but I think we're here." She breathed. Staring out on something that reminded her of a carnival in picture books when she was a child.

"I'm sure you can." Hotaru said as she grabbed Leo's hand. Quickly gathering her stuff together, Hotaru walked towards the edge of the clearing."You ready?" she called out.

Leo nodded and led Hotaru to the forest's edge. More of the spirits departed as they walked and by the time they reached the edge, only the cat kender was left.

"wow..its...." Hotaru looked around speechless. She hadn't really paid attention to town before, but here at night it was impossible not to. It was as if a colorful tapastry had come to life, bursting with color and sounds. It felt different from any other place Hotaru had visited so far, yet familiar at the same time. It was then she realized that the sensations she felt were similar to what she had felt when she was with the gypsies that she had called her family, before that night.

At this point the cat kender left and Leo turned to Hotaru. "Any idea how long you'll be staying here?"

Hotaru shook her head. "Not sure. I can't very well try to leave without decent weapons for one. I think I'm just gonna wing it, try to meet some other players and such." Reaching into her bag, Hotaru pulls out 3 flasks and hands them to Leo. "Here. These are thanks for helping me find my way out of the forest, as well as for showing me the Lunar Roses. Each flasks has a different effect. The blue one is a healing balm, and will heal most external wounds. The red one is a restoritave. Its strong enough to wake the dead, so be careful. The black one is something I made with the petals from the Lunar Rose i got. From what I understand, it will enhance a person's abilities, so it might be good for getting out of a jam." Turning back to face the town, Hotaru brushes a stray braid of hair out of her face."I'm going to go look around now, so I'll see you later ok?"Walking towards the town, Hotaru pauses and glances at Leo. "Don't worry about Skye. It'll all work out somehow." With that, Hotaru continued to walk towards the town, quickly blending in with the increasing crowd.
