Leo took the flasks and watch Hotaru disappear into the town. He tucked the flasks safely away and went to secure a room for the night and noticed a man sitting in a chair with a floating chess set of mix-matched pieces. The black side of the board was to the man and he appeared to be waiting. Leo eyed the board for awhile before asking him "Why is it that the king and queen pieces mirror each other and never have one of them on the definite right? Doesn't that affect the feel of the board?"

Skye sighed as they reached the wall, nothing too bad had happened on the trip. "Well we're here, though...I guess we never actually discussed what would happen when we got here... I just dont know if it feels right parting ways completely... Something feels like we should keep together."she said quietly, not normally one for sentiments.

A quiet bird call that sounded much like a morning bird just waking up was the sign that his meeting was imminent. She was on the outskirts of town, but she wasn't alone, she had company in her group. "She can't be that ridiculous." he said allowed as he started to consider the different possible situations that might arise from this. Nothing new came up it was all the same thing's he'd originally considered, a guide or a guard of some sort. The rest were probably stragglers picked up along the way.

walking through the crowd, Hotaru continued to be amazed as the town overwhelmed her senses. "I should probaly find someplace to sell my wares." she thought as she continued moving deeper into town. But the tought left her mind completly as she found herself facing a large crowd of gypsies dancing around a fire. Thrilled with the prospect at dancing with others, Hotaru slung her pack over her shoulders and joined in the fray, happily letting the music and the other dancers carry her away.

"Well I was originally gonna rest at Crossroad Inn back there, but as I chose to travel with you, I did not get that chance. I do agree that we should remain together, I have this feeling that something important is going to happen," she said while petting Shamira on the head. Sighing deeply she closed her eyes and stretched slightly. "It's been a while sense I have sleep in a warm bed however," she said joyfully as she held her arm out for Ickorus to land. (Fyi guys, incase i didn't make this clear, shamira has a couple of bells around his neck to help me locate him, like in battle or to simply find him in a crowd and so on) |

Morrigan smiled at her traveling companions, but did not respond. She gazed over crowd and noticed a glint in the corner of her peripheral. She knew that glint. She had seen it before, a few weeks ago, aboard the Black Bishop. She set to work, unsheathing both of her bayonets and her double barrel derringer and placing them inside of her pack. She sat the pack at Skye's feet.
"I'll be back soon." She smiled, reassuringly, and ran off before Skye and the blind woman could say another word. She wasn't going to so readily hand Skye over to Carter if he was looking for her.
She came to stop at a luxurious look chess board. The chess board was missing a single piece: the white queen-side knight, which she had nabbed in her last meeting. She smiled, ruefully. "I'm glad I haven't been replaced." She placed the small chess-piece, that she had palmed her entire journey, into it's proper position and sat down. "Alright Carter, let's begin." She now acknowledge the man, sitting across from her.

"Can't play without my full chess set, and that piece happens to be worth a bit to certain people." Carter said looking up from under his hood. "So what is with the group that you brought with you?" He asked waiting for her to make the first move.

"I noticed Skye's name on one of your files. She brought me here." She leaned closed, choosing her piece. "What exactly do you want with Miss Skye Wulfe?" She made a decision and moved her first pawn D2 to D4.

"Ah Skye, yes she's been making quite a name for her self with her break from her current guild." Moving his knight from B8 to C6. "On top of that she has a history that puts her in a very interesting anti-pirate mind set that might be useful to me."

She tensed, fearing that she had brought Skye to her end. "Just what are you planning Carter? The blueprints inside Soles' shop, looking for Skye and..." she was at a loss. "Alright, I want to place a new wager, if you so allow it. Forget looking for my friend. I want in. I beat you, you tell me what you guys are up to." She pushed her next pawn C2 to C3.

Moving a pawn from B7 to B6, Carter considered the new wager. "And what is in it for me. You brought skye along so I could go talk to her now if I wanted, and telling you really might be bad for me seeing how you are OSDF. So what do I get?"

She gritted her teeth, giving Cart a long, hard look. "My complete and total loyalty to you as one of the greatest aerial combatists, signed in a blood oath, that whatever advancements I make will be in your name." She thought for a moment. "Aside from Skye. Her safety comes first."

Leo went on an secured a room for the night, and leaving his bag in his room, went back out to meet with the vanguard. After a semi-long talk with the head, Leo started wondering around the town. He was running out of distractions so all he had left was to walk and think about what comes next.

Skye had led them to the inn and got a room for the girls, then left Asselyna there as she went back to check on Morrigan, staying mostly in shadows as she walked back to the chessboard. Her eyes narrowed when she got in hearing range but she remained silent with a hand on her gun.
