Destiny's Crossroad

[Collins]

"Leo leo leo...always the anti social one. Never will understand that type of ninja." Collins mutters to himself after greeting Lady Spencer.

[Hotaru]

(sorry if this is bad, its my first time role playing)
Hotaru paused as she saw the fabled "Tree of Destiny" in her sight. Nervous anticipation crept through her as she realized she had finally made it to the famous Destiny's Crossroads Inn. Her first time out of Orlandia, another performer had suggested that the in would be a good place to stop on her journey. As she got to the door, Hotaru stopped to make a wish for courage, hoping that the stories of the Tree of Destiny granting wishes were true.

Entering, she sees a man in a kilt talking to a finely dressed woman at a table. Having been spotted by the bartender, she goes up and asks for a drink. "An ale please."

[Collins]

(for the record I forgot to say this but I am no longer at the destiny inn I am out killing zombies!)

[Hotaru]

(ah ok!)

[Leonardo]

The barkeep wordlessly poured a glass of ale and set it down in front of Hotaru. Soon after Leonardo came in and sat down next to Hotaru. With a sigh he paid the bartender up front and asked for whatever kind of cheep alcohol the barkeep recommended. The barkeep then gave him a glass of apple cider. After a sip Leo said more to himself "Wow. this bartender is the best if he remembers the kind of drinks I was getting. Then again, it's easier to remember when someone orders something odd." After a long sip, Leo looked at Hotaru for a moment before saying "Hi. Do mind if I ask you name?" After a very brief pause he flushed and looked down. "Sorry, where's my manners. I'm Leonardo Diepherion Farcrai but you can just call me Leo or Leon for short."

[Hotaru]

Looking over at Leo, a small smile appears on Hotaru's face. "It's fine. My names Hotaru. Thats an interesting name that you have Leo. Is the story behind it as interesting?"

[Leonardo]

(The story behind it is that I want to have the longest possible name ever but was to lazy to go past first middle and last name. XD)

"Hotaru... odd name but it's rather nice. As for may name, I don't really think it's that interesting. I grew up in a village very far from here and ended up become a wonderer when my home village was destroyed during one of my trips to a neighboring city. Sense the name given to me was mostly only used in my village, I guess that makes the later part of my name very odd now." With that Leo took another sip of cider. "Is there a story for your name or is it your given name?"

[Hotaru]

(lol thats awesome!)

"I guess you can say its both. I used to have another name, but the only ones who used it are now dead. So I gave myself the name Hotaru." Hotaru pauses for a brief moment as a sad look comes into her eyes. She shakes it off and continues."So what brought you here Mr. Leo?"

[Leonardo]

"Mr. is a bit too formal. Please, Leo will do just fine. I'm actually traveling with Teres Calamitas for Orlandia but we're taking some time off to rest here sense we're in no rush and it was on the way anyways. Though by 'we're' I guess I should I. Tristy already got too restless and moved on, most of the others haven't even shown up and I haven't actually seen Skye for awhile. I wonder if she went ahead without telling me...... oh well. My plans to be here till my informant arrives hasn't changed and it will probably be some weeks before he does....... Still... it's rather sad what happened in your past. I wonder if the misfortune really does attract each other or there are too many story's like that in the world. I'm guessing you came to see the tree and enjoy the hot springs?"

[Hotaru]

"Sort of. I'm a traveling performer, so moving around is part of my lifestyle. I usually perform around Orlandia though, but I decided it was time to expand my horizons a bit. Someone suggested that I stop by here while I was traveling, so here I am. I figured I stay here until I figure out the next step in my travels, maybe perform a bit to make sure I stay fed."

[Leonardo]

"Performing huh..... I wonder if.... nah never mind. As if history could actually repeat it's self twice at the same time. But if you're performing in the Orlandia area then that means we might run into each other again. So, do you believe that the Tree can actually grant wishes?"

[Hotaru]

"I'd like to. I know I've made enough wishes myself that one of them should come true. But I guess it just depends on what hand fate chooses to deal you. What did you mean by history repeating itself?"

[Leonardo]

"Well, I know someone with a similar sounding past and and after she save my life when I got in over my head she has been with us. I'd like to think of her like family though I caught wind of a rumor recently that she wasn't feeling content with her where she's at. To be honest I don't know what I'd do if she actually left. I'm usually not good with talking to people. The only reason I can so easily talk to you right now is that the commons are virtually empty at this time. I was wondering if we had met under similar circumstances that I had met Skye under, if things would have developed the exact same way. Well, even if we did I dought it would turn out the same. the dice of chance are always rolling in life making it totally unpredictable." Leo sighed and took another long sip of cider. "Barkeep, another please." Leo paid the barkeep as he was giving Leo another glass of cider and took the first glass when Leo finished it.

[Hotaru]

"I can see that you care about Skye very much. You should let her know how you feel." Hotaru looks at Leo and smiles. " Maybe all she really needs is the right reason to stay." Finishing off her drink, Hotaru stands up and hands the barkeep some money. "For my drink and a room please." The barkeep counts the money and nods over at the barmaid. Walking over to the barmaid, Hotaru stops to look at Leo. "Whatever she chooses, be sure to treasure her. Family is a rare treasure these days. Nice talkin to you Leo." With small smile playing on her lips, Hotaru turns around and walks up the stairs.

Upstairs, Hotaru looks up at the ceiling before going to bed. "Leo huh? Nice guy..."

[Leonardo]

Leo couldn't help to to blush at her words. Was he really that easy to read? Well, not surprising sense he rarely had to talk to more people then the few reliable middle men that ran his intelligence network. Leo finished his cider then went to his room. "Horaru..... she really seemed to be a kind hearted girl. I hope we can become friends. Good friends also seem to be a rarity these days."
