Sighing contently she began making herself comfortable as did Shamira and Ickorus.

"I believe that is game." Carver said picking up the white king and rolling it across his fingers. "You are distracted and didn't play as well as last time when you had nothing to lose." Miz grit her teeth. She though back to when her and Lin would play chess. They had been equally tied. This guy was completely out of her league. She paused. She couldn't lose. Too much was at stake. That was true. "Two out of Three. If I lose, you can have the floaters from my ship."

Avalon crept in the shadows watching the pair exchange words. They played a game she wasn't familiar with. It intrigued her.

"I don't need the floaters from your ship." Carter said reseting the chess board. "Do you have any better offers?"

"I don't..." She looked down at her fallen chesspieces. For once, she felt hopeless. As if this were all a lost cause.
"You see, I left the life of luxury a long time ago. Right now I am...pathetic." She grimaced, not looking up. "I'm clumsy, cats hate me, can't cook or entertain suitors. I don't even know what I want to do with my life." Her knuckles were white from tension. "I certainly can't play chess, and I can't beat you."
"But, it's different when I fly. I'm one of the best aerial combatants out there. It's what I love." She looked up and locked her gaze with Carter's. "Teach me how to strategize and I'll teach you and your men how to fly with style. Please, Carter, you don't know me. But, I don't know how to make myself anymore honest." She stared straight ahead. "Even if you don't want to tell me everything. Let me prove myself to you."

Skye watched the exchange getting more confused and agitated as it progressed until she finally emerged from the shadows and went to stand behind Morrigan. "Listen Miz, You don't need this creep at all, lets get out of here." she said glaring at the man across the table as she rested a hand on Morrigan's shoulder.

She jumped, looking over her shoulder. "Skye..." She frowned, glancing over at Carter.

Leo went back into the inn and as he started heading for his room he got interrupted by the inn keeper who gave him a letter that was addressed to Leo, in his old full name he went by back when he lived in his home village. Without opening it it was clear that their was also some other object in the envelope. He opened the envelope and took out a necklace with a pendent on it. The pendent looked like a small crystal sword filled with grey mist and had two outstretched wing. One wing white and the other black. He put on the necklace and went up to his room. He didn't need to read the letter as he already knew what it said. Still it didn't hurt to confirm that this really ment here was the location of his final job.
He came back outside soon after. twirling the letter in the envelope in his fingers. He didn't try to hide it sense no one would know what it was, even with the unique black letter inside. When he saw Skye he walked up to her and asked "By the way, do you know how long you'll be in Saul?"
(Quick note that as the creater of Saul, I have all rights to what happens in this forest and what the Vanguard does. Saul is not tied to Skies of Orlandia's story so I have full permission and privilege to do this event. Just making it clear that this is not an usurp of power and this in no way affects Orlandia. This is just a Saul unique event that will eventually lead to the next RP that is actually near Orlandia.)

Before Skye answered Leo added "More impotently can you give Tristian a message for me? I know you said you quit the guild but I lack the time or the means to tell him this but I will be unable to return to his side. I got important orders to do a very important mission that I can't turn down, and the chances of me being able to return to him after it is virtually zero. Can you tell him that? Or at least send him a message in my stead?" Leo stopped twirling the letter and with the snap of the fingers that held the letter, it burned in but the blink of an eye.

((That's fine. I like other people creating different areas for us to play in. :3))
Morrigan stood as Leonardo approached. She felt overwhelmed with her blunder and Carter's lack of response. After Leo spoke, she pushed past him and Skye, without giving Carter a second glance. Her stomach ached for a caffeine boost and some proper food.
The bell rang on the inn door as she stepped inside, hoping to find some nourishment.

Leaving the shadows Avalon strode over to the inn across the street. The group of people that were huddling around that board intrigued her. She followed the women who just stood up into the inn hoping to learn what that game was.

Morrigan sattled into one of the tables and summoned a barmaid for a cup of coffee and a stack of pancakes. After forking out the proper amount of gold, she rubbed her temples in frustration and dug her SatCom out of her bag and fiddled with it. "I'll just tell Soles to tow my ship to the end of the forest and I'll take it back to the OSDF hangar myself."
Her SatCom still wasn't working and she shoved it in frustration. The heavy metal sattelite phone dropped to the floor with a clatter and bang. A small metal piece broke off and Morrigan cursed all of the mighty curses she could think of. "Or...not." She gathered her SatCom and its pieces in sadness and laid them in a heap on the table.

Avalon strode over to the women, picking two small stones out of her side bag. One of the many things she learned to do over the years and that was to fix things. People and objects were similar, only people mending was more complicated then mending a little communication device. with a few hurried whispers, Avalon stepped close to the women and picked up her device and began quick work on figuring out what was wrong with it and how to fix it.

"Uh, hi. That's my..." Morrigan paused and frowned. "Heap of trash." She was about to stand and reach for it, but she gave the woman an appraising look. She didn't look like a gypsy. She more reminded her of Hex in her style of dress. Then she noticed the stones. "Are you...a stone mage?" She glanced around and pointed at the seat across from her. "My name's Morrigan Crypt. Please, have a seat if you think you can fix my phone."
